Text description provided by the architects. Maintaining fluidity within the requirements ordained by this particular living space was one of the principal objectives of this Project. Instead of subdividing the surface area with traditional walls, new walls were designed with a certain thickness, texture and color.
These were placed in such a way as to unite the apartment visually from one end to the other. The slate wall at the daytime and nightimes areas of the apartment. On the side where the wall greets visitors is place to jot down notes and reminders.
Where they can be seen when one leaves the apartment. On its other side is a reading area, where it becomes a bookcase tat hides a small office. The kitchen, dining room and living room share the same open area. Another room where sub-divisions were avoided is the master bedroom, envisioned as a suite in which the bathroom, dressing room and bedroom are compartmentalized.
In flooring the apartment, the aim was to create continuity by avoiding visible assembly points.
